When Philosophy Was Stylish

Many people claimed to be existentialists and adopted the existentialist/public philosopher persona to be “cool” and “stylish” but I suspect many had not read the key existentialist texts and many did not understand the debates. This is a trend that continues today with our pseudo-intelligentsia and anti-intellectual culture.
